to CDC. West NileVirus(WNV) infection was determined by laboratory testing.
Case locations are based on the county ofresidence (or county equivalent) of
the patient, not the medical facility location. Note that the mapincludes all
areas of positive (confirmed or probable) WNV results, but not necessarily all
areas withsubmitted samples or no reports.
